Pulling
for Jesus Tractor and Music Expo- George H. Henderson Expo Center -Lufkin,
Texas,
June 25-27, 2010
Tractors
of all types may begin arriving at 12 noon on June 25.
Christian music will start at 6 pm on Friday with Christian youth bands and end
at 10pm. This will definitely be a family event where I will try to draw various
types of groups to the event. Entry to the tractor show is free for the
exhibitors and the fans. Music from various Christian groups on Saturday will
transition from Southern Gospel to Contemporary Christian at night. I am
planning a larger concert on Saturday night , 7 p.m.,with the Robbie Seay Band
and FFH in which there will be a $15 charge for admission. Hopefully this will
draw a crowd of 5,000+. There are numerous covered pavilions where tractors will
be displayed. A tractor parade is scheduled for the exhibitors to drive through
the Expo Center at the beginning of the concert on Saturday night. The more ol'
tractors and engines, the merrier for kids of all ages to enjoy. Pedal tractors
for the young kids, music, hayrides, and food for everyone. On Sunday, there
will be a church service available to anyone who wishes to attend. The planned
time for the show to end is 3 pm on Sunday. Two barbecue pits will be awarded to
the exhibitors with the best educational exhibits (one for students/2010
graduates and under and one for the adults). Other prizes include the Best of
Show, the Exhibitor that Traveled the Longest Distance, and many more... This
will be a show that you will not want to miss. See you in June.

(under construction) I am interested in posting pics of the exhibitors coming to
the event to this web-site. I am also in need of more operational exhibits,
threshing, steam engines, etc. God Bless!
FYI-
The money raised at the concert will go to pay for this year's expenses, pay for
the use of the Expo for next year, a portion will go to send youth groups to
camp, and another portion will go to support Christian radio.
Food vendors will be comprised of church youth groups only. For example, I
attend Trinity Baptist Church. The youth group leaders want to sell
barbecue sandwiches. This is the only thing that they can sell and no
other group can sell the same item. (another church water, another sweet tea,
etc.) This money will go toward youth groups attending Christian youth camps.
Each of the youth group is responsible for working their own booth and will be
allowed to keep all of their money raised for their youth to attend camp.
I will also have booths set up where each church can place up to five items on a
table for a silent auction. This money will go to a missionary of their
choice. Each church is responsible for setting up their table of items and
collecting the money. I would like a picture of the missionary and contact
information to be visible on the front of the table.
Thanks for any help that you can give.
God Bless,
P. T. Walters
